Formulation Notes

CoQ10 + Alpha Lipoic Acid + Acetyl L-Carnitine HCl is a combination formula featuring three antioxidant nutrients that have been shown to promote cardiovascular and cognitive health. CoQ10 - The body's ability to synthesize CoQ10 declines 20 percent every decade of life after the age of 21. Its used by the mitochondria ("power plants") of cells to produce energy. CoQ10 is found in highest concentration in cells of organs that require large amounts of energy, such as the heart. Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) - ALA has been called a "universal antioxidant" because it is effective in water-based substances such as blood, while its reduced metabolite, dihydrolipoic acid (DHLA), is effective in fatty tissues and membranes. Acetyl L-Carnitine - Both ALA and ALC are known as mitochondrial antioxidants that support cognitive function and memory.
