Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Priolix usable for everyone.
Our Commitment
Priolix is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Current Status
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML: Pages use proper heading hierarchy (h1–h4), landmark regions, and ARIA labels where needed.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (search, navigation, chat, FAQ accordions) are operable via keyboard.
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Responsive design: The site adapts to mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports.
- Form labels: Search inputs and chat form have proper labels and placeholders.
- Alt text: Product label images and icons have descriptive alt text or aria-labels.
- Skip navigation: Keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation links.
Known Limitations
- Data tables: Some evidence comparison tables on supplement and product pages may be difficult to navigate on small screens. We are working on responsive table solutions.
- Chat interface: The AI chat uses a custom markdown renderer. Some complex formatted responses (nested lists, tables) may not have perfect screen reader semantics. We are evaluating a markdown-it + DOMPurify upgrade.
- Auto-complete: The search autocomplete dropdown uses dynamic content that may not announce properly to all screen readers. We are adding ARIA live regions.
- Third-party content: Embedded PDF links (DSLD product labels) point to external NIH resources that may not meet our accessibility standards.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Priolix, please let us know. We take accessibility issues seriously and will work to resolve them promptly.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to propose a solution within 10 business days.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of Priolix relies on the following technologies working in the browser:
- HTML5 semantic elements
- CSS3 for visual presentation
- JavaScript for interactive features (search, chat, FAQ accordions)
- WAI-ARIA for enhanced semantics
Assessment Method
Priolix self-assesses its accessibility through manual keyboard testing, screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver), and automated scanning with axe-core. A formal external audit is planned as part of our Phase 0 production readiness sprint.
