Additional Information
Glucosamine and chondroitin are thought to be part of the body's mechanism for lubricating, maintaining and repairing damage to joint cartilage. Glucosamine and chondroitin supplements have well-established effectiveness for reducing pain and improving range of motion in osteoarthritic joints. In clinical studies improvements are seen within 8 to 12 weeks at doses of 1500 to 2000 mg/day of glucosamine sulfate and 1200 mg/day of chondroitin sulfate. The ratio of glucosamine to chondroitin in this product is considered optimum for joint improvement.
