Warning: When a child or infant is taking iron, stools may appear darker in color. This is to be expected and should be no cause for alarm. When iron supplements are given to young babies, some darkening of the membrane covering the baby's teeth may occur. This is not serious or permanent nor does it affect the enamel of the teeth. If this darkening or staining occurs, it may be removed by rubbing the baby's teeth once a week with a little baking soda on a small cloth.

Warning: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or a poison control center right away.
