Lutein is an antioxidant found in large concentrations in the eye. Research shows that lutein intake correlates directly to the amount of lutein found in the macula of the eye. Lutein in the macula protects the eye by blocking blue light rays that come from digital screens, while supporting healthy macular pigment optical density. Studies suggest a link between adequate lutein levels in the body and less risk of eye disease, especially as we age.

Our product contains Lutemax 2020 Lutein, a naturally-derived marigold extract providing all three macular carotenoids - lutein plus enhanced levels of both zeaxanthin isomers (RR-and RS [meso]-zeaxanthin) - at the same 5:1 ratio as found in nature, to optimally support eye health.
