Beetroot, with its crimson red hue, has been used since ancient times as a traditional tonic to promote healthy living. Modern research, through chemistry and nutritional analysis, has found great relevance in many of the ancient claims.

Beetroot provides trace amounts of naturally occurring Potassium, Calcium, Iodine, and Copper. Recent research suggests that Beetroot may increase levels of Nitric Oxide.
