Formulation Notes

Nopal cactus, also known as prickly pear cactus, is considered one of the original South American superfoods, and has been used for thousands of years by inhabitants of the Sonoran Desert region as a food, and for enhanced vitality. In Nahautl (the Aztec language), the word for nopal translates to "fruit of the earth", as this cactus was valued highly for its wide variety of uses. Nopal cactus offers a unique phytonutrient profile, and is known to help maintain healthy blood sugar and choloesterol levels that are both already within normal range. It also supports a healthy immune system and bowel function in persons with an already healthy intestinal tract.
