Milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn.) has been in common medicinal use since the middle ages in Europe. Silymarin is a combination of three potent flavonoids (silybin, silydianin and silychristin). This extract is standardized to 80% silymarin flavonoids.
