Mechanism

Ginseng may reduce warfarin efficacy, possibly through CYP enzyme induction or ginsenoside effects on clotting.

Effect

Reduced anticoagulant effect; decreased INR

Management

Monitor INR closely. Avoid ginseng supplements if possible.
